Valve, those brilliant guys behind Half-Life, Portal and of course Team Fortress have announced another class update for Team Fortress 2. This time the Scout is getting some love. So far they’ve shown us the a new weapon dubbed "The Sandman" that "smacks baseballs at the other team" which stuns them so you can lay down the smack with your melee weapon up close. EPIC!
On top of the new weapon they seem to also have changed the way that Demoman’s sticky bombs cause damage in close combat situations. And after some outcry from the TF2 faithful they have further explained the changes. Basically, they reduced the amount of damage caused by the sticky bombs in the first five seconds that they were laid from 150 to 115. It’ll be interesting to see how this changes Demoman play, could this be the end of the "offensive" Demoman?
I’ve loved all of the TF2 class updates that Valve has released so far and can’t wait to try out the revamped Scout. Team Fortress 2 is hands down the most fun and balanced multi-player game of all-time and is a huge favorite of the D|M crew. It also looks like they’re announcement for "The Sandman" is the first of six releases that they have in store over the next week.
