Today is the day when analog broadcasts stops. /gasp! Sad isn’t it?  NOT! All I gotta say is that it’s about damn time. While Nielsen Co. estimates that there are still 6.5 million homes nationwide that are currently unprepared for the switch, all I can blame is the households themselves. They’ve had plenty of time to make the switch in my honest opinion. But then again, was the government ready? No. Their funds ran out before everyone that needed a converter could get one. Regardless, even those with converters may have some issues tonight. It is speculated that some areas may experience no reception even with converters. So no Lost or American Idol for you! I feel your pain though. So here is a nice alternative plan in case you’re one of those unlucky people: Hulu.com and TV.com.  Those two will save your life. Good luck tonight everyone!

UPDATE: Over 400 channels nation wide are cutting their analog feeds tonight, see this Washington Post article for the complete list.
